GOLD - Article + Competition

What is the first association with gold? Of course, wealth!  In the past, during World War II, there was one strange trend in Poland. People invested their save money in gold, but not in jewelery as you might think no, no. They've invested in gold teeth! Sometimes they would remove their natural tooth, to have this unique, golden one. Golden teeth used to be the hallmarks of rich people, now it is only trend for rappers. ;]

The truth is that, we wear gold mostly as a jewellery or other accessories. Stardoll offer us earrings, bracelets, belts, necklaces and much more! They are really beautiful, but we have to use them carefully. If you want to get kinky with the shiny accessories, you have to remember to stop a little with the outfit base. I can recommend using clothes made of plain fabrics. Thanks to that, our beautiful jewelery will be hightly exposed and we won't look like kitschy Christmass tree. 

In my opinion one fashion designer is the master of gold. Yes, I'm talking about Gianni Versace. He died in 1997 but the Versace brand continues to follow his unique style. Gold is present in almost all collections - sometimes as small accent and sometimes as a whole look. This color has become the hallmark of this brand and is present even in the Versace logo.

One year ago, Bella Hadid promoted gold in the Versace x Kith campaign. It shows us that it is possible to wear chic clothes in classic streetwear looks. All look could be improved with the gold. Don't be afraid of using it! Who says you can't use gold when you wear silver? It's not easy to match these two but if you won't try, you'll never know how much fun you can get from it!

My wardrobe is not full of golden clothes. I regret that, because I really love gold and I'd like to wear it not only as a jewelery.
